HyperMesh Mesh Parametrization and Morphing
This session covers the morphing technology available in HyperMesh, which allow a user to quickly modify the shape of his model without having to iterate with CAD.
This course is of interest for any user already familiar with HyperMesh, working with mesh, either associated to CAD or orphan mesh, who is looking for:
- quick ways to bring some modifications to the mesh without sending it back to the cad
- parametrizing the shape modifications for exploration/optimization purpose
The session is based on the new interface of HyperMesh.
Prerequisites:
General knowledge of HyperMesh and its new interface. Ideally attended the HyperWorks Pre-Processing class.
Goals and Objectives:
- Review of the different morphing purposes: mesh modification, parametrization for exploration/optimization in OptiStruct, Design Explorer or HyperStudy
- Review of the morphing methods: free hand, proximity and volume morph
- Review of shapes, how to save and use them?
