Course Outline:

The two-day course covers a wide range of basic and advanced features. The first day covers the basics in depth, and the second day's content can be customized based on the needs and interests of the participants.

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge of fiber composite structure analysis is strongly recommended (e.g., via the Basic Composites methods seminar).

Goals and Objectives

  • Material and laminate basics (micromechanics, CLT, strength)
  • Structural elements (beams, plates, cylindrical shells)
  • Laminate discontinuities (e.g. joints, notched laminates) and FE interfaces
  • Advanced laminate analyses (selected topics depending on the interest of the participants)
  • Optimization and customization (on request)
